Day 18 of the 30 Day B.C

So I totally missed days 11 thru 17 but I've been crazy busy and crazy sick. I only work when needed and it just so happens that I'm need for a whole month so I've been working. I'm not used to working everyday so I have a hard time getting everything done that I want to. On top of working, a couple of day ago I started feeling bad and it just got worse from them. Yesterday when I woke up running a fever of over 100, I figured I needed to go to the doctor. So I have Strep Throat and have practically been quarantined to my bedroom so I don't get anyone else sick. Today is the first day I've felt better all week!

So here is Day 18: My wedding!
It was almost 3 years ago that I married my best friend. We got married in my mother-in-law's church. It's a great little church and our guest practically filled the whole thing! It was still decorated for Christmas with the trees and poinsettias. I seems like yesterday but also like longer than 3 years ago. When I get back on my own computer, I'll add some of my favorite pictures.
I'm on my daughter's Christmas present, setting it up and charging it so it's all ready for her to play with Christmas morning.

Hope every has a very Merry Christmas!

until next time...

Our Christmas Card

We are very excited about our Christmas cards this year. We had a great photographer take this great picture. You'd never know that it was absolutely freezing the day we took out pictures. Living in the south, we aren't quite used to cold weather. This day it didn't get out of the 30s which is quite rare here. The wind was whipping like crazy too.

I was excited to find a card that coordinated with our picture perfectly. I just love how the whole thing turned out!

The best part about all of it was that I just had to pay shipping. Shutterfly was nice enough to offer us bloggers 50 free cards if we blogged about their cards and I did just that.

I can't wait to see the finished project when it arrives!

Day Eleven of the 30 Day B.C

Day 11: A photo of me recently.

Now I'm not going to be as recent at Amanda over at My Life as a Wife, but this picture is from Monday so I'd say that is recent. Its not just of me though. Remember those family pictures I was so super excited about, well this picture is from those. It's one of the four that the lovely Kristen Pace let me preview. I have to say that I'm in love and can't wait to see the rest!

until tomorrow...

Days Nine and Ten of 30 Day B.C Together!

Well I was really slack yesterday and totally forgot about Day 9 so here it is: A picture I took!
I just took this last week. Owen only went near Santa because Olivia did and we only got this one shot after that he scooted right off her lap and started crying! At least we got the one!

Day 10: A picture of myself 10 years ago!
Well that would be a picture of me at the age of 17 and I don't have any of those on my computer. That was before we put all our pictures on the computer, that was before everyone used Digital! So unfortunately I don't have anything for day 10!

Hoping I can do better for Day 11!

until tomorrow...

Day Eight of the 30 Day B.C

Day 8: A picture that makes me sad/mad

Who has pictures that make them sad? I know I surely don't pipe up to take pictures of sad moments but I do have one picture that makes me sad everytime I see it. It only exists for documentation purposes!

Here is my poor Nugget pre-Dr.S., the best dermatologist we've seen! He went from looking like this
to looking like this
in the matter of a week!

The first one makes me sad because he looked like even after seeing a dermatologist who's only answer was constant steroid use and after seeing an Urgent Care doctor because his eyes has swollen shut who's only answer was more steroids and a shot or Cortizone! Neither the old derm. or the urgent care doctor helped! It took a whole other doctor to help him. He sees her regularly and steroids are not the answer. He unfortunately gets many secondary infections so a combo of antibiotics, strong hydrocortizone creams and oatmeal baths make my baby better.

I'll be back very soon with lots of pictures that make me very very happy. That being pictures from our family shoot today with Kristen Pace. I must say, I've only seen a few sneak peaks and I can't wait to see the rest!

until tomorrow...

Exciting Day!!

Today is a very exciting day for several reasons;

1. The Hubbs has a job interview!!!! That is the best news we've had in a long time. We both (me mostly) have been searching like crazy for him a new job. A few months back he got a life changing demotion that came with a 50% pay cut! It killed me! It killed us! Our relationship has been tried for sure and we've been struggling! Not only in our relationship but in every other day possible. This interview needs to go well! Him getting this job will be the long awaited answer to our prayers! I'm so nervous for him! This is his first interview with this company and it's with the VP of the Company. How nerve wracking is that? This company has much better hours that he works now as they close at 5:30 Mon-Fri and at 4 on Sat. Even better is that they are closed every Sunday! His current job has him working long days (I'm talking 12-13hrs) and they close at 9 which makes him getting home normally after 10 because he very rarely opens!
Pray that this is direction Frank is supposed to be going and that his interview will go well!

2. We have family pictures today! I am so excited. I love getting our coordinating outfits together and I can hardly wait to see what the finish products will look like. It is however very cold today and our pictures are outside. I'm hoping it won't affect the outcome of our pictures too badly! We decided to go with a new photographer this time. I saw her pictures and fell in love. They were just what I wanted! She was running a special too which helped me make my decision. We don't get professional pictures done that often because of Nugget's face always been flared up so I went out on a limb even scheduling them. Luckily, he's looking pretty good today. He's been on Aveeno Oatmeal overload as we've found their products to make the biggest difference for him! He's gotten an oatmeal bath, washed in oatmeal wash and rubbed down with oatmeal lotion. Anyway, back to pictures. I'm super excited. Nana made Noodle a new skirt and I made her a new headband. I may make them both some shirts today but I'm still not sure!

Those are the two things I'm most excited about. Now on the other hand, I am not excited about this being my only day off this week. I start working tomorrow for a month and that sucks. I've gotten so used to being a stay-at-home mom that I'm dreading working. I work everyday that Noddle's on break from school and this is the first that has every happened. If Hubbs get this new job, that will all change. I'll get to quit my job and go back to staying at home full time. Anyway, I've just been working as needed but it seems that the only time I'm needed is when Noodle's out of school. That is not what I signed up for. The only good thing to come out of it is the money I will make. They pay me pretty decent per hour so the paychecks will be nice. I think we're going to take the money at take all the kids to Disney World. My sister and her son would be going with us so it'd be great fun. Disney World was one of the two things Noodle asked for for Christmas too so it should make it even better.

Anyway, hope everyone has an exciting day! I know I will!

until later...

Day Seven of 30 Day B.C

Day 7: A photo that makes you smile!

I have lots of those! It's going to be hard to chose just one!

This one makes me smile because it was one of the first in a long time where Owen's face was clear. It's the little things that make me happy. I wish he could be clear all the time!
This one makes me smile because it was our first family vacation!

Olivia in her hat alone is why this one makes me smile!

Check out Amanda over at My Life as a Wife if you want to join in on the Blog Challenge. Also the picture that makes her smile is a pretty good one!

Day 5 of 30 Day B.C

Day 5: Favorite Quote

When I saw that today was going to be my favorite quote, I got a little worried. I"m not the kind of person who remembers all kinds of famous quotes so this one is hard for me. So I started searching and found one that I love.

"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love." ~Dr. Seuss

This describe mine and Hubbs relationship to a T. We are both weird but our weirds fit together perfectly. We make the perfect couple for us!

There is another quote that comes from the movie Juno that I love. The Hubbs and I watched that movie and loved it. It is so funny and has some great one liners! Our favorite is "That ain't no etch-a-sketch, that's one doodle that can't be undid Homeskillet!" As we were watching the movie, I told him that's how I would tell him when I was pregnant since this was back before Nugget. When I finally got pregnant with Nugget, I was so excited to be able to tell him about our "doodle"!

Anyway, there are the two quotes that I love. Maybe one day I'll have an actually favorite quote but until then, these will do.

until tomorrow...

Day Four of 30 Day B.C

Day Four: Favorite Book

Well, I am very sad to say that I cannot remember the last book I read therefore I don't have a favorite book. When I was little I really love Sarah, Plain and Tall and all the Shel Silverstein books like Where the Sidewalk Ends and The Runny Babbit. I did try listening to Time Traveler's Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the parts I got to listen to.

Here's one of Shel Silverstein's poem. Not only did I love them but now my kids love them too!
One Inch Tall

If you were only one inch tall, you'd ride a worm to school.
The teardrop of a crying ant would be your swimming pool.
A crumb of cake would be a feast
And last you seven days at least,
A flea would be a frightening beast
If you were one inch tall.

If you were only one inch tall, you'd walk beneath the door,
And it would take about a month to get down to the store.
A bit of fluff would be your bed,
You'd swing upon a spider's thread,
And wear a thimble on your head
If you were one inch tall.

You'd surf across the kitchen sink upon a stick of gum.
You couldn't hug your mama, you'd just have to hug her thumb.
You'd run from people's feet in fright,
To move a pen would take all night,
(This poem took fourteen years to write--
'Cause I'm just one inch tall).

until tomorrow...

Day Three of 30 Day B.C

Day Three: Favorite Television Program

Well this time of year my favorite TV program is The Sing Off. This is the second season and by far, it's my favorite show on. I just wish it last longer! It just started on the 6th and only has like 5 more shows. If you haven't seen it, you have to check it out. It comes on NBC tonight at 8. It's a singing competition for nothing but a capella groups. Last season my favorite was the Beelzebubs (I'm guessing I spelled that right) and this season, my favorite, so far after just one episode, are the Whiffenpoofs. They are the a capella group from Yale. They were great! You should check it out too!

Any other time, I love any of the CSIs.

Big Bang Theory! I love Sheldon! Bazinga!

Of the new shows that just started this season, I'm loving Chase! It is SO good. When the new season started, the Hubbs really loved the new Hawaii 5-0.
Bad new for him: He works late on Mondays and kept missing it.
Good new for me: I didn't have to watch it because I wasn't a fan so I found something else.
Chase was that show. Now I have him watching it and he even thinks its better than Hawaii 5-0!

and I love how funny Mike and Molly is! I don't care what that Marie Claire writer says! I love the show and fat people (being that I'm not a stick anyway)
I loved Melissa McCarthy on Gilmore Girls as Suki and now I love her even more as Molly on this show!

and last but definitely not least, GLEE! I'm a total GLEEK! I esp. love the episode with Gweneth Paltrow! I love, love, loved the Singing in the Rain/Umbrella number at the end. It's got to be my most favorite performance of the show so far. I even made the song my ringtone!

Well that about sums it up!
If you want to join in on the 30 Day Blog Challenge, check it out Amanda's blog over at My Life as a Wife.

until tomorrow...

Day Two of 30 Day Challenge

Day Two: Favorite Movie. Like I said yesterday, picking my favorite movie is much easier than picking my favorite song since I'm not much of a movie watcher. The Hubbs, now he's a movie watcher. He can stay up til the wee hours watching movie after movie. As soon as I get comfortable with him on the couch, I'm out. I usually last about 15 minutes max! Anyway, I'm getting off track.

My favorite movie would have to be P.S. I Love You! I love everything about that movie. I love Hillary Swank, I love Gerard Butler, I love the whole movie, did I mention I love Gerard Butler!?!

I do have a few others that come in right after that one.
2. Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist
When we didn't have cable, I got this movie out of RedBox and must have watched it all day one day. Over and Over! I loved it everytime!

3. Mary Poppins
When I was little, we rented this movie and when it came time to return it, I wouldn't let it go. I watched it so many times, I wore out the tape!

4. Dirty Dancing
I used to have this poster hanging in my room. I would pretend all the time that I was Baby and that my bed was the stage and I would jump off and run to Johnny for the lift. I know I'm a dork!

5. Untamed Heart
I loved me some Christian Slater in this movie. I've seen this movie a bunch and I cry every single time.

So What's your Favorite Movie? Join in on the 30 Day Blog Challenge and let us know. I'm following in Amanda's footsteps over at My Life as a Wife.

until tomorrow...

30 Day Blog Challenge

20 Topics in 30 Days, I think I'm in! I'm always looking for something new to do with my blog and this sounds right up my alley. I"m following in Amanda's footsteps over at My Life as a Wife and passing the next 30 days with this Challenge.

Day One: Favorite Song! What a hard one! I don't know how I could ever narrow it down to just one. I love such a wide variety of music from 80s to Country to Classical to Opera. I really love it all. Not only do I love it all, there are so many songs that have meaning to me or that I connect to making this so much harder.

I love "Better Together" by Jack Johnson because it's the song Hubbs and I had are first dance to at our wedding. It is definitely always better when we are together and we love doing nothing together!

I love love love "The Prayer" sung by Josh Groban and Charlotte Church! I love to listen to it in the car and belt it out as loud as possible like I can sing!

"Way you Love me" by Faith Hill, that's another I love to sing loudly too! Oh, and there's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody", "Jessie's Girl", anything by Michael Buble, Justin Timberlake, Bon Jovi or Boyz II Men.

The longer I sit here and think over it, the longer my list gets. So I'm gonna leave it as those and I'll be back tomorrow for Day Two of the 30 Day Challenge with Favorite Movie. I have all night to think about it but that list will be much shorter as I am not much of a movie watch.

Make sure you come back tomorrow and if you want to join in on the challenge, check here for the list of topics of at My Life as a Wife!

until tomorrow...

Fawk you Friday!

Yay for Fawk you Friday! Who doesn't need a chance to throw out a few Fawk you's to all those people places and things? I do! So here goes:

                                                                           BWS tips button
Fawk You to the lovely lady on the phone that called me a dumbass while I was at work today. Being a Pool person I float around ofter among 5 different locations, so therefore I don't really know anyone. This lovely lady called asking for someone I did not know and after telling her that I'm just covering for the regular person so I don't know who that is or how to reach them, she asked for me to find out those things and called me a dumbass! So after finding out that the person wasn't there, she asked to speak to anyone else. Being the dumbass she thought I was, I nicely and politely transferred her to anyone! Anyone being somebody not in my dept that couldn't help her at all!!!! I mean I had to live up to her Dumbass expectations!

Fawk you to Toys r Us for not making it apparent that the Buy Any Dance Wii game and get another Wii game for $5 sale ended yesterday. I went there today hoping to get myself Just Dance 2 and another game for Noodle for Christmas and found the sale had ended. Now its buy a DS game get one for $5. I don't need two DS games!

One more very nondescript Fawk You to a person who will remain nameless because of being the worst at something that means a lot to me. I know that doesn't give you guys any information but it makes me feel better because I know who it is and I needed to get it out there for no other reason that than!

Hope everyone has a Happy Friday and a Happy Weekend.

until next time...

I was still able to follow all of your lovely blogs but blogging from my phone took way too much time! Besides, adding pictures was nearly impossible and what's a blog without pictures. Tis the Season for 50 free cards from Shutterfly!

Just for blogging about Shutterfly and their wonderful selection of Christmas and Holiday cards, you can get 50 free cards. That is perfect for someone that loves pictures and cards as much as I do. I always love this time of year when all the Christmas cards start arriving in the mail. It's always fun to see how the kids have grown from year to year or read the yearly letter that fills us in on what's been going on.

Normally, I'm the one that designs and makes my Christmas cards but when I started looking through Shutterfly's selection of cards, I decided that they could do it for me this year. There are so many that I just absolutely love that I think I'm going to have a hard time narrowing it down to just one.

If we wanted to go with a Family Letter style, I would go with this one. I love the color combination!

I'll definitely need one for more than one picture because I'll never be able to narrow it down to just one! These are great options!

Not only do they have a card that will suite all your holiday needs, they also have invitations that will suite all you holiday needs! My sister and I are thinking of doing a Cookie Swap and wouldn't this just be the perfect invitation!

or this one for just a fun Holiday party!

After seeing just the few of the ones that I love, I know you'll want to look through them yourself and pick out one or thirty. If you want to sign up to get your very own 50 card for free just by blogging, you can do that here.

Happy Choosing. I know I'm going to have a very hard time!

So many new things...

Being without a working computer and without internet at my house, it's been very hard to keep this thing up and running. There's so much that has been going on. Sp many new things to share!

Noodlehas started 1st grade! Its very exciting. She was going to be going to a new school but with the unexpected change in a financial situation, I was very happy that I did not burn any bridges with her old school. I wanted too but for some reason kept from doing so and boy, am I glad that I did. She was having lots of anxiety about going to a new school anyway that led to lots of bed wetting. She's much happier being back at her old school with her old friends and the bed wetting has ended! YAY! I must say that I'm not old enough to have a 1st grader!!! Oh, she's also lost another tooth. This time on top. We're still waiting for one of the bottom to fall out. It's been loose for months and doesn't seem to be held in by anything but we can't get it out. She goes to have some teeth filled in a week or two and the dentist said if it was still in, he'd pull it while she was out!

I have started my new job. I'm going on my third week and everyday I have a new emotion that goes with it! I'm happy to be out of the house for some adult interaction but at the same time, I'm sad to being leaving my children's responsibility on someone else. That has been a chore in and of itself!!!! I'm hoping that this job will quickly lead to a full time one so that I can stick Nugget in full time daycare and not constantly have to be worrying about where he's going to go so I can work.

I've been dabbling in decorating onesies for my friends who are having babies. I regularly make shirts for Noodle but like making them for other people. I'm also trying to broaden my ideas away from just girly shirts since Nugget isn't a girl and needs something "boyly" as I say! I've made a really cute one with a rocket for my nephew but of course I don't have any pictures of it! I'm hoping to get really good at it and start selling them!!Here are a few that I have made for friends:

Nugget's eczema journey is still an ongoing one! I feel like we're seeing the dermatologist every 2 weeks with what seems like no progress at all! It's very frustrating. Well, at his last visit, she finally decided to do an ImmuCap test which tests for allergies through a bloodtest. Nugget went to an allergist back in Jan. but his skin tests showed nothing. He wasn't allergic to anything. I found that very hard to believe. He had reactions to milk and what we though was wheat but come to find out he's not allergic to them. The bloodtest found that he is allergic to cats and he has high sensitivity to walnuts and peanut and a mild sensitivity to soy. It has me thinking that his eczema can't possibly be in response to a food allergy. He's cleared up several times with the help of an antibiotic but if it were due to his food allergy, he wouldn't have cleared because he's never been off soy! Soy is in EVERYTHING!!! He has another appt. this week. We'll see how that goes!

So I guess that's about it! I'm sure I'll think of something else but until then...

Busy, busy

We were so crazy busy over the weekend! We had lots of family in town so we spent lots of time with them. The kids had lots of fun with all the cousins they don't see often enough and the parents tried tuning out all chaos. Imagine 6 kids, ages 11mths, 18mths, 2, 4, 6 and 9. That equals lots of noise, lots of toys and apparently lots of kettle corn. We discovered this weekend that Nugget LOVES kettle corn. It's always great to find something that he loves since his diet is restricted to dairy free and gluten free! (Side note• Nugget is looking amazing! We may have found the perfect combo...an antibiotic, oral steroids and wheat free but I'll write more on that later) So after two full days of family craziness, we are exhausted! It was so great to see everyone though!
Yesterday we went to JCPenney to have the kids pictures made. I feel so slack because we have not had their pictured professionally made in almost a year. Its seems like Nugget's face starting getting worse right after our last pictures and we've been struggling with it ever since. Well, until now! Here are just a few of my favorites!

Alright. enjoy those because I know I have. I love my two beautiful babies! Tomorrow Noodle starts first grade! I can hardly believe it! Nugget is half way to being two and I can't believe that either. They need to grow slower!
Til next time...

I may be back

I just got Blogger-droid for my phone so I may be back. I dont know how I feel yet about it but it send like it will be pretty easy. Now all I have to do is figure out how to include pictures and I think I'll be set. I kinda miss blogging all the time.

So not too much has been going on. Hubbs has been on a few interviews but hasn't heard anything back. His last one was yesterday so I how he hears back from it because its a normal Monday thru Friday with normal hours (something we've never experienced together). I have also been on several interviews. I figured now was a better time that any to put my Bachelors to use. Well it's worked out so far. I got offered a job yesterday and I took it. Its only a PRN position but its in the field I'd like to continue in Psychiatry! I'll be a patient rep. for the Psychiatric Nursing Programs at the local med. univ. I'm kinda excited about it

Bad Blogger but Good reason

I hate to say it but I've been a bad blogger and I probably will be for awhile. My computer died AGAIN! This past week has been full of unfortunate events. My husbands work ordeal, my computer died, Nugget got an infection in the eczema near his ankle and his ankel swelled, and I'm sure there are more that I just can't think of. So until my computer is fixed, my blogs will be random and few and far between.

I would like to say Thank You to Cheryl for my great Christmas in July gift. I love it! She made me a beautiful clutch and when I have time to add a picture I will!!!
I also have a job interview this week which I'm super excited about. Its at the local Med.U in Pschiatry for a Patient Rep. so I hope I get it! Its right up my alley having a Psych. Degree and working at a private behavioral health facility!!! Wish me luck!
Nugget seems to be clearing up FINALLY AGAIN! He's on another round of antibiotics thats the same as what cleared him up last time and the wheat free seems to make him less itchy! Hoping this all continues.

So I've had a few positives in the last week but the negatives unfortunately have outweighed them by at least double! Here's to better day ahead!

Hope everyone's having a great summer!
Be back full time soon!!

Can't Catch A Break

It seems as though ever since Nugget was born, we can't catch a brek or at least when we think we have, we get slapped in the face with another piece of bad news. Well today I got a big ole slap in the face when my husband gave me his news. He's been demoted AGAIN!!!!!! About this same time last year, this same company demoted him and literally cut his pay in half! It was nowhere near enough to live off so he had to find a new job. So in July last year he left this company and went to a new one that was more money (or so we thought) but it didn't have insurance. The owner made it sound like a big money maker so the insurance wasn't a biggie. We got private insurance for the kids only. Well the money wasn't as good and we were struggling. He was with that company until January when he was asked to come back to the old company for way more money. How could he pass it up? He'd be making the money he was before his first demotion and we'd all have insurance again! Woo Hoo! Things we looking back up. The hours he was working sucked but he was hourly and getting lots of overtime. His boss is a straight up ASS but if it weren't for him, I don't think my husband would have been asked back. Well that ASS has gone and turned on him and gotten him demoted AGAIN!!!!! He's apparently not doing his job well enough and not selling enough. Who's selling enough in this economy? My husbands a hard worker and it always trying to keep everyone else he works with happy but apparently that's not enough. This demotion also come with a pay cut to where there's no way in HELL we'll be able to live.
I literally have felt sick since he's told me. I've cried. And now I feel like I'm in a bad dream waiting for someone to pinch me so that I can wake up. When will we just be able to live without worrying how the bills are going to get paid or if we'll have insurance. We have to have insurance. We have kids, one of whom goes to the doctor constantly. Nugget is always under medical treatment for something, mainly his eczema. I just don't know what we're going to do!
Before finding out this lovely news, I had started looking for a job. With my husband working tons of hours, I've been left with doing everything else and I've honestly just become tired of it. The house, the kids, the errands are all my responsibility. Now I know what you're thinking..you stay home with the kids so its your job to do all these things and I totally understand that but we used to share all the house stuff. Well since he's never here, there's no sharing anything. The kids sometime go days without seeing him. I'm just tired! It's too hot to spend too long outside, the kids are going crazy staying inside, I'm going crazy with neverending laundry, cooking and cleaning and I want something new. I want something new outside of the house. I want to start making money that can go towards savings or towards a vacation or towards something that I want! I can't remember the last time I bought something just for me. I'm always putting everyone else first. I guess really getting a job would be something for me. something selfish. Getting a job means Noodle has to go to afterschool, Nugget has to go to daycare and I'll still most likely be doing everything in the house when I get home but at least for 8-9 hours a day, those things won't be my responsibility. For 8-9 hours a day, I'll be around other adults. I long for daily adult interaction!
With all that being said, I'm really actually quite torn. I want to make my own money, I want to contribute, I don't want all the responsibility to fall on my husband. At the same time though I don't want to pay someone else to raise my children. Daycare is expensive! Daycare won't take care of my children like I can. I don't want Nugget to have to go to daycare, I don't want Noodle to have to school to afterschool. I don't want to have to possible depend on others to help me with the kids.
I'm done! I'm rambling and I'm going to bed! To cry!

Nugget's going Wheat-free!

Upon doing lots of research, we've decided that Nugget's going to go wheat free for a week. With Nugget's struggle with eczema, I am constantly researching causes. We've tried all kinds of medications, oral and topical, we've seen two dermatologists, he's been allergy tested and yet he still has severe eczema. Well just this week, I'm thinking I may have found a very likely source: WHEAT! Although Nugget has been allergy tested, he was not tested for a wheat allergy. His allergy testing also didn't show an allergy to milk but he can't touch the stuff! It causes a flare up everytime! So I started doing some research on wheat allergies and found that eczema is a symptom along with swelling around the eyes. Nugget's eyelids and around are also swollen! Everything Nugget eats has wheat in it and when I say everything, I mean everything! I've noticed that he's always extra itchy after eating and have often wondered if it was something else that he was eating that I had not thought of! I also found that wheat is a source of PABA, a common ingredient in sunscreens. Nugget has flare ups with all sunscreens that are not PABA free! Well that's too many coinky-dinkies for me!

So starting Monday, Nugget's going wheat free for a week. I hit up Earthfare and Whole Foods today to check out wheat free options for him and was surprised at how many there were. Even more surprised at how crazy expensive they are! I got a glimpse of that when we started looking for cheese alternatives for him. He loves grilled cheese but it doesn't not love his skin! He flares up with every one but I felt it was mean to deprive him of something he loved so much. Our solution was Vegan Cheese which he loves! I don't blame him though, the stuff is better than regular old American cheese! We left the stores with lots of options for Nugget! Here's a list of some of our exciting wheat free purchases!
I think that's it but I may be wrong. I'm super excited to see if this helps him any. I'm tired of nothing working and my poor baby suffering!
I'll post again afterwards to let you know how it went!

Another 24th passes

So if you didn't know already, the reason my blog is title Together 24 is because everyone in our little family has a birthday on the 24th of some month, Hubbs in Aug, Noodle in Dec., Nugget in Feb. and me in July.

Well yesterday was June 24th and we had lots to celebrate. Yesterday was Noodle's 1/2 birthday! She's not officially 1/2 way to being 7 and she can't seem to stop talking about turning 7. She's so excited! When the Hubbs and I got married, his side of the family started celebrating her 1/2 birthday so she didn't feel like she got jipped. With her being on Christmas Eve, they wanted to make sure she got birthday presents that were separate from her Christmast presents. So to celebrate, last night we went to Fonduely Yours with Nana. It was the first time going there for all of us. We had such a great time and left completely stuffed. We had some cheese fondue with bread, apples and some veggies. We had a variety of meats and veggies to cook up. Then to finish things up, we had some chocolate fondue with cake, marshmallows, bananas, apples and a few other things. Man, was it yummy! My favorites were the stuffed mushrooms and the chocolate covered marshmallows!
Yesterday, Nugget also turned 16 months. He's developing such a little personality and its too funny!
At his last checkup which was about 3 wks ago, he was 23 lbs and 29.75 inches. He's a little peanut compared to Noodle!
He talks nonstop but we have no idea what he's saying.
He says a few words here and there but definitely only talks on his own terms. When he actually wants to, he can say "dog" "Mama" "Dada" "Olivia" "uh-oh" "meow" "cookie" and a few others I'm sure that I can't think of right now. He's very verbal when he gets mad and it almost sounds like he's cursing at you. Which we know is not the case since we don't curse in front of him!
He walking all over the place and becoming quite the explorer/climber. He's so cute because he walks with his little belly poking out! He climbs in and out of his seat where he eats and in and out the back of his tonka dump truck.
He's just recently started doing "Itsy, Bitsy Spider" with his little fingers! It's so cute!
He's also eats non-stop! We're starting to think that he's a bottomless pit. We're not quite sure where he puts all of it.
His eczema is still not completely under control and its set off very easily! He's not on any dairy and seems to be allergic to mango. Luckily he isn't old enough to miss the dairy. We've done as much as we can to make sure he still gets things like cheese and yogurt, just vegan cheese and soy yogurt. He loves soy milk too!
He just today recognized himself in the mirror. It was so cute. He looked in the mirror and then touched his face because he saw that there was something on it. He's in the midst of a flare up so his face isn't looking that great and he has several scabby spots. He noticed them this time though when he looked in the mirror.

So another 24th passes meaning we're 8 months closer to the terrible twos, 6 months closer to Christmas and to Noodle turning 7, 2 months away from Hubbs turning 29 and 1 month away from my 27th birthday!

Fawk You Friday!

BWS tips button
So it seems as though there in a reoccuring theme for my Fawk You Friday!
With that being said,

Fawk you to my husband's boss-the giant jerk who came back from vacation after having two weekends and the whole week between those two weekends to take away all of my husband's days off this week. My husband worked his ass off while the boss was gone and he gets rewarded by having to work something like 10 days straight without a day off. I'm not talking about your usual 8-5 workdays, I'm talking he has to be to work at 6:30am and doesn't get off til 9pm. There should be some kind of law against that!
Fawk you to my husband's boss who by taking away all of Hubbs' days off caused him to not be able to go to Noodle's 1/2 birthday dinner at Fonduely Yours! He was originally suppose to be off yesterday so he was going to get to go. I hate it that he missed out because it was so much fun and was a first for all of us except for him! He misses out on so many family functions and moments. I mean wasn't it bad enough that he had to work on Father's day this past weekend because you took two weekends in a row off?
Fawk you to my house- I'm tired of cleaning you, its been long enough and you're old enough, that you should know how to clean yourself!

I think thats all!

5 Question Friday!

So I've been a horrible blogger. Being that it is summer, I've been busy trying to occupy them so I haven't felt like linking up for blog parties and we haven't really done anything exciting worth blogging about. I'll get back into the swing of things soon, I hope!

Until then, here's another 5 Question Friday! brought to you by Mama M!

1. Do you know how to play a musical instrument?
Why yes I do! I started playing the piano when I was either in second and third grade and continued until at least my freshman year in high school. I should have continued with it longer but I hated recitals. I love playing for myself but I absolutely hate playing in front of anyone. So I quit! I have a piano that's at my grandparents and I can't wait til we have room for it in our own place so I can play when its just me!
2. What is your pet peeve while driving?
Those people that never go the speed limit and those people who always want to speed and ride your ass when you get in the way of their speeding. I'm not a big fan of driving so I probably have more pet peeve while being a passenger than while driving!

3. Would you rather have a housekeeper or unlimited spa services? I'd rather have a housekeeper because I hate cleaning and it seems like its a never ending process around here with Hurricane Noodle that I swear comes behind me to destroy what I just cleaned! Besides, if I had a housekeeper, then I wouldn't be spending all my time cleaning which means I'd have more "me" time to use spa services.
4. Is there a song that you hear that will take you back to the moment, like a junior high or high school dance? Oh man, there's a ton of those! Gettin Jiggy with It takes me back to a ninth grade dance, Da Dip, Cotton Eye Joe, Water Runs Dry, the list could go on....all take me back to the dances they used to have at the Citadel. Every summer, the Citadel had a summer camp for boys and they always had dances on Friday or Saturdays for girls to come to and they were so much fun!
5. What song best represents your life right now? Hmmm...that's a hard one! I don't know if I've thought about that recently. I'm really loving Jewel's song, "Stay Here Forever" I just love the lyrics and remind me of the simpler times before the kids.
'Cause if you wanna go
Baby, let's go
If you wanna rock,
I'm ready to roll
And if you wanna slow down,
We can slow down together
If you wanna walk,
Baby, let's walk
Have a little kiss,
Have a little talk
We don't gotta leave at all
We can stay here forever
Lay here forever,
